Grâce au journalisme, chaque jour est unique, pour Diane. Elle a commencé son parcours comme présentatrice et journaliste du JT français au Burundi. Auparavant, elle a obtenu deux licences, une en Langues et littérature anglaise, l’autre en Sciences politiques et Relations internationales. Son engagement pour dénoncer les actes anti-démocratiques du Président burundais qui tentait de briguer un 3ème mandat, lui a valu de graves menaces et elle a été obligée de fuir son pays.

Le plus : Diane participe au projet « Renvoyé spécial » dans lequel elle sensibilise les élèves français à la nécessité de protéger la liberté d’expression et la liberté de la presse dans le monde à travers son expérience. Elle continue aussi d’écrire des articles sur la situation au Burundi grâce au site de l’œil de l’exilé de la MDJ.

Diane est arrivée en France en novembre 2014.

Thanks to journalism, every day is unique for Diane. She began her career as a journalist nad present of the French FT in Burundi. Before that, she received two bachelor’s degrees: one in Languages and English Literature, the other in Political Science and International Relations. Her commitment, to denounce the anti-democratic actions of the President of Burundi, who was trying to run for a third term, earned her threats, and she was forced to leave the country.

More: Diane participates in the project “Renvoyé special” in which she educates French students about the necessity to protect the freedom of expression and freedom of press in the world through her experience. She continues to write articles on the situation in Burundi thanks to the MDJ site L’oeil de l’exilé.

Diane arrived in France in November of 2014.
