Journaliste ouzbek , Gulasal Kamolova a commencé son travail en tant que journaliste à 17 ans alors qu’elle faisait ses études universitaires à Boukhara, en Ouzbékistan. Elle travaillait à la chaîne de télévision locale, « Istiklol » et d’autres 3 télé privées à Boukhara. Pour exercer librement le métier d’informer, Gulasal quitte son poste pour collaborer avec des organisations internationales telles que l’« Internews ». Depuis 2004 Gulasal travaille pour la radio internationale Liberté.

Le plus : Gulasal est devenue la première journaliste dans l’histoire de l’Ouzbékistan qui a porté plainte contre un fonctionnaire de l’Etat pour une violation de la loi.

Actuellement hébergée à la Maison des journalistes, elle apprend le français et découvre la culture française à travers des pièces et des spectacles à Paris. Elle fait aussi des conférences et des interviews comme celle qu’elle a fait au Washington Post, sur son expérience en tant qu’exilée.

An Uzbekistani journalist, Gulasal Kamolova began her work as a journalist at age seventeen, when she began her university studies in Boukhara, Uzbekistan. She worked for the local television channel, “Istiklol,” and three other private channels in Boukhara. In order to freely exercise her right to inform the people, Gulasal quit her job to collaborate with international organizations such as “Internews.” Since 2004, Gulasal has worked for the international radio “Liberté.”
