Réalisateur Irakien, Wareth Kwaish est né à Baghdad en 1992. Au début de son parcours universitaire il a étudié dans le département cinéma du Fine Arts Institute, il commença à y travailler dans le domaine de la création de films. Son expérience fût améliorée de par sa collaboration avec de nombreux réalisateurs, par exemple Mohammed Al-Daraji. Wareth Kwaish a aussi travaillé avec d’autres réalisateurs pour des projets de film irakiens – il a à son actif trois courts-métrages (Signature, Once they were here (Une fois ici-bas), A Nation without Homeland), le dernier faisant partie d’un atelier de courts-métrages Irakiens, en Irak. Wareth Kwaish a aussi travaillé dans le centre Irakien du Film Indépendant.

Le plus : Son film, Once They Were Here a été sélectionné au Festival de Cannes en 2015 et il a été aussi sélectionné au Festival des Droits de l’Homme 2016. Il a également participé au TedX Irakien en 2015.

Wareth Kwaish est en train de travailler sur un long-métrage intitulé Baghdad Disco.

An Iraqi producer, Wareth Kwaish was born in Baghdad in 1992. At the beginning of his university career he studied in the cinema department of the Fine Arts Institute, then he started to work in the field of film creation. His experience was enhanced by his collaboration with many producers, for example Mohammed Al-Daraji.

Wareth Kwaish also worked with other producers for Iraqi film projects—he has released three short films (Signature, Once they were here, A Nation without Homeland), the latter being part of a workshop for Iraqi short films, in Iraq. Wareth Kwaish has also worked for the Iraqi Center of Independent Films.

More: His film, Once They Were Here, was selected by the Cannes Festival of 2015 and by the Human Rights Festival of 2016. He also participated in an Iraqi TexX in 2015.

Wareth Kwaish is working on a feature film titled Baghdad Disco.
