Zakaria ABDELKAFI est un photographe, militant et réalisateur syrien né en 1986. Il est diplômé de l’Université d’Al-Okhawa. Son activité, en tant que militant de la résistance civile syrienne, a commencé avec sa contribution au lancement du « Conseil des révolutionnaires de Salaheddine ». En effet, le quartier de Salaheddine est connu pour avoir été à l’origine des premiers mouvements de la rébellion contre le régime d’Assad.
Le plus : Afin de trouver un moyen de protester autrement pour éviter les dangers de la rue, Zakaria ABDELKAFI et quelques amis à lui ont tourné des saynètes « Interdit en Syrie », sous forme de sitcom, pour faire état de leur quotidien ravagé. Elles sont diffusées sur une chaîne locale en zone libre. Il a aussi été régulièrement appelé par des agences de presse en tant que photographe de guerre.
Zakaria ABDELKAFI reste en contact avec ses amis syriens qui continuent de couvrir la guerre, et est en train d’organiser une exposition photo sur son propre travail en Syrie.

Zakaria ABDELKAFI is a Syrian photographer, activist and filmmaker born in 1986. He graduated from the University of Al-Okhawa. His work, as an activist of the Syrian civil resistance, has started with his contribution to the launching of the “Council of the revolutionary people from Salaheddine”. Indeed, Salaheddine’s neighborhood is known for having been at the origin of the first movements of rebellion against Assad’s regime.
More : As a way to protest differently against the danger in the streets, Zakaria ABDELKAFI and a few of his friends have shot some small TV programs called “Prohibited in Syria”, so that they can raise an awareness of their ravaged daily life. They are being broadcasted on a local channel in the free zone. He has also been called on a regular basis by press agencies as a war photographer.
Zakaria ABDELKAFI stays in touch with his Syrian friends who keep on covering the war, and he is currently organizing an exhibition of his own work while he was in Syria.
