Hassanein Neamah
Hassanein Neamah est un journaliste et réalisateur irakien diplômé en histoire et en littérature française à l’université de Bagdad. En 2013, son court-métrage « Plus rapide que le cancer » remporte le prix du meilleur film d’étudiant de l’Université de Bagdad.
Le plus : Un de ses films, « C’est Moi », sorti en 2014, a été diffusé lors du festival de Cannes, dans la catégorie du meilleur court-métrage et gagné certains prix en Irak et dans d’autres pays arabes. De plus, son dernier court-métrage « Last Seen » a également été sélectionné à Cannes en 2016 et dans plusieurs autres festivals.
En tant que journaliste, ses articles et ses récits ont été plusieurs fois publiés par le magazine Al-Arabi. Il a notamment beaucoup écrit sur l’espoir des jeunes à la lumière de la situation actuelle en Irak.
En France, il suit une formation en langue française, et Il écrit et développe son nouveau projet, « Soldat désarmé », un long-métrage documentaire, qu’il espère terminer dans les meilleures conditions possibles.

Hassanein Khazaal is an Iraqi journalist and director who graduated from the University of Baghdad in History and French literature. In 2013, his short film “Faster than cancer” won the award for best student film of the University of Baghdad.
More : One of these films, “It’s Me”, released in 2014, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the category of best short film and won some awards in Iraq and other Arab countries. In addition, his latest short film “Last Seen” was also selected for Cannes in 2016 and for several other festivals.
As a journalist, his articles and stories have been published several times by Al-Arabi magazine. He has written extensively on the hope of young people in the light of the current situation in Iraq.
He is currently following in France French lessons, and he is working on developing his new project, “Disarmed Soldier,” a full-length feature documentary, which he hopes to finish in the best possible conditions.
