L’Office Français de Protection des Réfugiés et Apatrides – OFPRA – n’a plus de directeur général depuis le 28 décembre 2018. Le diplomate Pascal Brice surnommé “Monsieur migrants” n’ayant pas été reconduit dans ses fonctions, a-t-on appris le jeudi 17 janvier auprès du syndicat de l’agence.
Pascal Brice utilisait des données précises, voir scientifique pour écarter l’idée paranoiaque d’une submersion ou d’une crise migratoire en France. Ayant mis rationnellement ce fantasme du grand remplacement de côté, il défendait l’application indépendante du droit d’asile inscrit non seulement dans la constitution française mais aussi dans la convention de Genève.
Des propos qui l’inscrivaient parfois en faux par rapport aux discours de responsables politiques, et notamment ceux de l’ex- ministre de l’intérieur Gérard Collomb. Renouvelé en 2015 (à l’époque du Président Hollande) pour une durée de trois ans à la tête de l’agence chargée de mettre en œuvre le droit d’asile, Pascal Brice a vu ses fonctions prendre fin le 28 décembre dernier après six années à la tête de l’Office.
“Il a fait connaître l’OFPRA l’extérieur, avant personne ne savait ce que c’était, personne ne savait même ce qu’était un réfugié” propos recueillis sur place les agents et cadres de cette structure française.
Personne n’a pour l’heure été nommé à ce poste et c’est donc le secrétaire général de l’OFPRA qui assure l’intérim, nous a confirmé un des membres de la CGT- Ofpra.
